I am a stay at home mom to 4 kids, 14,10,8,& 4. I am a bit high strung and not proud of it. I like things to be clean. I yell a lot. I am a sort of jack of all trades, master of none. I am honest, don't like getting old, wish I was cooler than I am. I am sucker for celebrity gossip, good raunchy jokes and overpriced skin care.
I am a reluctant stay at home mom nearing the end of my term. I am a recovering "Suzy Homemaker". I curse. I say what's on my mind. I hope that I say things that other people are thinking, just don't have the guts to say. I hope to make people laugh at or with me. I hope not to offend too many people, but know there have been a few and am quite certain there will be several more.
So, if you are looking for a dysfunctional view on mothering, being a woman , and life- you may not be disappointed here. If you are still Suzy Homemaker and think that everyone should be, I might just make you want to vomit.
that's crazy...I can see leaving without a teenager (on purpose! just kidding, but they're usually responsible for themselves) but a three year old??? and then let's blame each other for who was supposed to be watching her....nice
I read about this- I CAN'T IMAGINE how a parent could forget their child (but then again I'm not a parent so I can't talk...)
oh well at least the kid will always have in their favour the guilt card to play...Remember that time you left me in the airport?!!!...should settle most disagreements LOL
Also, I have a couple of sets of friends with large families. They frequently work on the "buddy" system of having kids watch each other...even at home.
All it would take to lose one in a busy airport is one kid being confused on who their buddy is. Seems easy to happen in busy, unfamiliar situations.
I heard about that. Perhaps it's an indication of how much the parents needed a vacation, LOL. But ... I dunno, you'd think they would have noticed when they sat all the kids in their seats on the plane. Kinda odd.
I lost my oldest in walmart one time. he's 19 now, but when he was 5 he just wandered off...i was FREAKING out. he was found in the electronics dept playing video games. I wanted to choke him and hug him at the same time!

I can't BEGIN to tell you how busy that airport is - and the Duty Free area? ENORMOUS!
I don't have strong enough words to say how disappointing this is... how G.D. disgusting... makes me want to throw up.

That is always my biggest fear, leaving someone behind. Actually, it's gaining an extra one, but I do fear leaving someone.

I can totally see how this could happen. In fact, this is another reason I have only two kids!

I can't even begin to grasp my mind around this article! How do you not know you are missing one of your babies!
ACK!
It's sad for the little girl. Parents who don't have their priorities straight.
