Quiet, quiet, she's gonna say something...

I love Forrest Gump. I cry like a baby and get goose bumps and my kids laugh at me every-single-time-we-watch-it. The only part I never liked was when he ran. I can hear the old lady on the bench "So, you just ran!"

I jumped into blogging just like Forrest waking up that morning to find Jenny gone and "just ran". There was no destination, no purpose, nothing to prove- I just felt like blogging.

Lately, I have felt like the heavy-bearded, long- haired Forrest running through the Sedona desert in his poncho with Jackson Browne's Running on Empty playing in the background.

I'm pretty tired. I think I'll go home, now.

I am definitely running on empty. This is not my swan song, however. The journey has been too great to just unlace my Nike Cortez that easily.

I'm still searching for my direction on this run and will let you know when I've found it.

I wonder if it's the spring thing...I felt like this and I have read a couple other posts close to this topic. Maybe we all just need a change of pace or a bloggy musical chairs or something...

I hope you feel better soon, come and have some chocolates with me...

I love Forrest.

I agree with Sticky. I have noticed that my hits have been down in the past few weeks, several people haven't blogged in a while, etc.

I have to say, not blogging at all this weekend was really nice. I get tired too.

Real men don't need directions.

Neither do bloggers.

Lovelovelove your blog, hope you aren't all the way empty and will be around unlike some of us lackadaisical folks (pointing at self, who sucks at any kind of blog maintainance).

i guess i need to go back and re-watch that movie because i don't remember the poncho.

i wish we could get everyone in blogville to take an oath that they will only post once a week. i think it would make things much more interesting and manageable.

we'll all be here...

That is a great analogy - sometimes you just need a little cat nap to remind yourself what you are running to / for. :)

Of course you can't retire. I retired. One of us has to be the funny girl.

But you teach me such cool words, like asshat!

I'm with Deb (as always) - we should all draw a day of the week out a great big hat, and we only get to post on that day.

Here's a cup of water, or beer, or whatever, as you run on by.

Maybe you need a bloggy vacation? Hope you're not leaving. I love the dancing with words you do. It's thought provoking, funny and real. Take a break if you need to be but come back soon!

Coffee Talk Moment - Cafe Mocha. It's coffee with chocolate right? Discuss!

Keep your chin up. We all get burnt out with aspects of life from time to time. This too shall pass.

While I don't like the sounds of that, I can surely understand it. Just don't stay away too long or too often, if possible. We would miss you entirely too much.

We all are feeling that and putting more pressure on ourselves than we need to. Post when you feel like it. This time of the year is crazy for everyone. Just remember I have your address from SSS and I have a garmin. I WILL hunt you down if you leave me.

We're here and will be here when you're ready.

I spect we'll be here when you decide.

Tena, Tena! Where for art thou, Tena?

Don't leave me...

In the same boat with the whole bloggy direction thing.

Love the Forrest analogy--it is so perfect.

Hope you stick around. I'd definitely miss your posts if you left.

It frightens me to think you might be going away and not in my bloggy world any more. But you've got to stick it out until at least after Blogher. hehe Hand in there gal! You're FABULOUS and inspire me with your every post, even the ones YOU might think are lacking.

Hey when you find that diretion, could you see if that have an extra one for me? =)
I've been a little out of the sorts myself lately. I get so lonely with my husband being out of town. Everyday I think I'm going to start new and fresh... ehhh, one of these days that will happen!
Hugs and smooches to you!

Yeah Tena - post less - kick back more - we will all still be here ready to read whenever you say stuff. I totally feel you on this topic....really dude. What's the friggin' point????

But hey no need to get all bloggy philosophical in your comment section....just take your time. It's all good....

Now you wouldn't believe me if I told you, but I could run like the wind blows. From that day on, if I was ever going somewhere, I was running!

You know when he stands with his hands on his hips and his elbows pointing back, my son does that all the time! I could die.

I know what you mean. Every few weeks I lose the ambition to blog. I suddenly think no one will care about anything that I have to say. Or I just have nothing to say.

This, too, shall pass... :0)

I feel the same way once in a while.... but don't stay gone too long..... and stop by and still visit me!

Screw blogging.

Can't we just sit and eat a box of chocolates together??? Oh, and guzzle wine. Cause wine and chocolate go so well together...mmmm...
