random tidbits

A few years ago, around Christmas, the family was driving around and Celebrate Me Home by Kenny Loggins came on the radio. My daughter asked why they were "celebrating meatballs"?

A few weeks ago, we heard Donna Summer's Hot Stuff- and my daughter asked why they were singing about "pasta"?

On the drive to Church the other day, Falco's song, Amadeus was on the radio. My son asked if they were singing "hot potato".

I swear- I feed my kids! Maybe we need to make an appointment to clean ears.

Without fail- when at a restaurant- the server asks my husband if he wants "soup or salad" and he replies, "yes"- followed by blank confused stares from the server. Yes- my husband ALWAYS wants the "super salad"!

Yeah, I think it's time to make a phone call to the doctor to tend to our ears!

Oh I had mine cleaned out a few years back. It was so weird, I could hear the rug rustling under my feet. Shudder!

To me this is hilarious because my ex husband was constantly singing the WRONG words to songs...and we let him. Mainly because he was a douche and it gave me even more reason towards the end of our marriage to laugh at him.

I'm mean. Well, he was too.

LOL.

LMAO That's like my kid thinking AC/DC was singing "dirty feet and thunder jeep". WTF does that say about my kid?

And of course the super salad is fucking awesome!! LOL

Hahaha. My sister used to sing Eddie Rabbit "Ooh, I'm drivin' my microwave" instead of driving my life away.

I love that...super salad...haha.

My husband has deafness of convenience. He pretends like he can't hear when he doesn't want to be bothered.

who doesn't love a super salad?!

i still like to look over the words, if the cd is accompanied by the lyrics to see what all i have been singing wrong.

Maybe I need my ears checked because I am constantly singing the wrong words to songs. At least I look hot doing it, that must be why people in the car next to me are staring, RIGHT?

Super Salad is comical!

My hubby gets a kick out of making his "sound a like" lyrics... maybe your kids are doing the same lol

My husband loves to make fun of Alanis morrsett's "you oughtta know"... he says "The cross eyed bear that you gave to me"... instead of "The cross, I bear"

O YEA-- and he instead of "CHASING PAVEMENT" he sings "Chasing Penguins" ( I forget the name of the artist.. but the song is called chasing pavement)

My sister used to sing "Torn between two lovers....feeling like a spoon". Huh?! My husband STILL sings...she's a "FREAK" house instead of "BRICK" house. He refuses to believe me that he is wrong. ARGH! I was thinking about a post like this the other day. How funny!
