Who says you shouldn't start a sentence with "And"?

Today is the day that I pulled my head out of my ass and realized (ummm, because my sister told me) that two of my kids go back to school- ON MONDAY- GULP.

And we have Open House tomorrow.

And my son has football practice everyday after school for 4 hours (is it just me or is that excessive? That seems excessive.)

And we have soccer practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

And we have Volleyball practice on Wednesdays.

And flute practice on Thursdays and Fridays.

And in September, my youngest starts preschool (she's 4 and I suck because I decided to only send her to one year of preschool unlike my others that each went two years, at least. I enjoyed her company too much. And preschool is expensive.)

And that brings my grand total to 3 different school schedules, 4 kids, 5 activities, and my den floor full of school supplies that need to be separated and labeled.

And gone are the days when I can just say "find something to play with and shut up" (you know, hypothetically, if they were driving me nuts and my head felt like it was going to explode and I was out of Xanax- but totally hypothetical because a mother NEVER talks to her kids like that. Or runs out of Xanax.)

And then that means I have to start putting on clothes that are somewhat presentable (pants), shower on occasion, and wear shoes.

I feel your pain -- and I only have 1 child. Hey, but think of this way, in a matter of days, we'll have our lives back for a few hours each day....

Whoa, deep breath. whew. I wish I could say I have no idea how you feel but I do, saldy. Three kids, three different schools, and I am opting NOT to even screen the little guy for pre-school! The only positive thing is that I already have to get dressed and look presentable every day, so THAT at least won't change, ha ha ha.

At least you didn't just find out they started LAST Monday. That would have been bad.

Luckily, we still have a few more weeks left of summer vacation. I'm dreading the start of school so much. As much as my kids get on my nerves, I really am not looking forward to all the running around and keeping track of things again.

Ah shit take your time. You've got 3 more days.
Tell them to go make some paper airplanes and leave you alone. You DO have paper, right?
There. I'm such a problem solver.

Some days I wish I could send my daughter to school, but I am pretty sure the elementary school in the neighborhood doesn't accept 2 years olds.

I had thought to escape all that and then my wife went and got sick on me. Blew my plans to hell. So now I am running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to buy all this crap.

I am not Mr. Mom.

Be happy you don't live around here, where I SWEAR some of the moms get up at 5 A.M. to do their hair and make-up just to drop off their trust-fund babies at school...they prance around in their tennis outfits so the whole world can admire their cheese-less thighs...bitter much? Who, me?
I throw my hair in a clippie, put on some sunglasses, pray that my clothes match, and drop my girls off each day, happy to hear them say "'bye, Mommy...you are so beautiful"...that's what life's about, right?

BTW, you are an amazing person and fab mom...keep up the good work!

with three kids all in multiple activities I find it hard to function on certain days. I cannot imagine what four would be like!
